You are not working, so that cash is your only income. Saving for higher education is very essential, but itâs a luxury. Your kid will have other methods to pay, scholarships, grants, part-time jobs. They can decide on a cheaper university. Pay for your kid’s higher education if you can, but keep in mind that itâs not as essential as pension. Retirement is a requirement. If you do not have pension cash stored up, then youâre working until you die. Get to a place economically where you can start placing 15% of your earnings toward pension first, and then work on your children’s higher education.
